Transit Complete-the-Penny

Grassroots campaign for passage of the Charleston County transportation referendum Nov 8, 2016. Local activists fought to ensure $600 million of the half-cent sales tax referendum will go to public transit. This money will pay for a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system that will connect Summerville to downtown, acting like light rail with dedicated lanes and modern facilities but at a fraction of the cost (1/6th!). Money will also go to replacing our aging bus fleet (many of the buses we have are from the '96 Olympics!), and connecting our region with upgraded, regular, reliable bus service which will take you, your kids, your elderly relatives, disabled freinds, tourists, or employees where they need to go.
Let`s have a more livable, more connected, more vibrant and modern Charleston County with less traffic - vote "yes" on the November ballot!
